A super start to Year 7!
All go in New Row as the first two months have come and gone!
A busy start to life in primary 7.
The big excitement first came when we were introduced to our new buddies in Primary 1. Please see below for some photos on the shared learning and play activities thus far.
In literacy we have continued our accelerated reading programme. No sign of slowing down as plenty of books have been read and quizzes continue to be completed.
We have explored different word types, parts of speech and correct use of grammar and punctuation. A variety of creative writing has also been completed; from letters, to play scripts, poems and autobiographies.
In numeracy we have covered many different areas and mathematical concepts. Including all 4 operations work in place value, rounding and estimating. Many practical tasks have been enjoyed through our shape, patterns and measures lessons.
We always enjoy time using ICT and have had the opportunity to make the most of our iPad software at every opportunity.
This term in topic work we have begun to explore inventors and ingenuity. We’ve become more aware of the different eras of invention and also began to appreciate some of the world’s greatest inventors and inventions. We are looking forward to continuing this topic next term.
Please see below a few snaps of life in primary 7 so far this year.
