Year 5 are carrying out lots of science investigations to learn all about the forces of pushing, pulling, colliding and gravity. They have investigated if the surface or height of a ramp effects how far a vehicle will travel. They have also investigated if the weight of an object effects how quickly it will fall. They also carried out a very exciting forces experiment related to their world book day story. They read the story The Lighthouse Keeper’s Lunch and investigated how to get Mr Grinling’s lunch from his cottage to the lighthouse, using balloon rockets. They also investigated if weight would effect how fast Mr Grinling’s lunch travelled.
