Primary 5 held a very successful used book sale in their classroom. Books were priced at between 5p and 50p and all classes came to purchase with most children leaving with at least one new book to read. The primary 5 children put a lot of effort into organising the sale and learned lots about counting money and working out what their potential profit and real profit was. They all really enjoyed this real life money handling experience. They raised over £100 from their venture and have democratically decided that it should be donated to Macmillan Cancer Care. Thanks to all who donated the excellent books to our sale. Any unpurchased books have been used to supplement the class and accelerated reading libraries.
