Year 2 designed houses that they thought would keep the big bad wolf away in the story ‘The Three Little Pigs’. We discussed what materials we thought would be strong and in pairs we chose different materials to build our houses. When all the houses were built we threw a beanbag at each house and saw which houses remained standing and which fell down. Year 2 discussed why some of the houses fell down and we decided that the Lego was the strongest material to use to build a house. Some great houses built in Year 2!
