Year 7 had a fantastic day celebrating World Book Day today. We focused on David Williams’ book ‘Gangsta Granny’ and concentrated on the question ‘Can we create an alarm system to prevent future gangsta crooks from stealing the Crown Jewels?’ We used electric equipment to design and create a circuit in order to make an alarm sound. We used a shoe box to represent the jewel house and put the circuit inside. When the cardboard ‘door’ is opened in the shoe box, a conductor on the back of the door should touch another conductor to complete the circuit and sound the alarm.
